Marchand-Tawse represents the meeting of thoughtful terroir selection and skilled, micro-scale winemaking. Pascal Marchand’s experience and intuitive approach guide the estate, where organic and biodynamic principles underpin careful vineyard sourcing and gentle handling in the cellar. The result is a collection of wines that feel alive, expressive and finely detailed.
The wines have vitality and depth, offering lifted aromatics, fine texture and a sense of brightness that ties the range together. Marchand-Tawse continues to appeal to those who enjoy Burgundies crafted with sensitivity and character.
Marchand Tawse came about through the meeting of Pascal Marchand, an experienced Burgundian winemaker of Canadian origin, and Moray Tawse, a Canadian wine lover and entrepreneur with a deep interest in the region. Launched in the late 2000s, the project built on Pascal’s past roles at estates such as Clos des Epeneaux and Domaine de la Vougeraie and embraced organic and biodynamic principles from the outset. Vineyard by vineyard, they assembled a network of growers and parcels that allowed them to craft a wide but carefully curated range of wines. The maison’s history is still relatively young, but its personality is already clear: detailed, vibrant and very much guided by a belief in living soils.
