Domaine Grivault’s modern history began in the 1870s, when Albert Grivault purchased the Clos des Perrières in Meursault, a vineyard that soon became the cornerstone of the estate. Over the following decades the family added further parcels in and around Meursault, but the Clos remained its crown jewel and the guiding reference for the house style. Generation after generation kept a firm hand on both the farming and the classical cellar work, preferring to let time and terroir do most of the heavy lifting.
