Thierry Pillot brings clarity and quiet intensity to his family’s vineyards in Chassagne-Montrachet. His work emphasises balance: gentle vineyard care and a measured cellar approach that preserves the character of each site without exaggeration.
The wines are taut and finely textured, with citrus, subtle spice and a clean mineral line that carries through the finish. Pillot’s style is confident yet understated, offering Chassagne that is pure, expressive and full of nuance.
The Pillot family have been part of Chassagne Montrachet since the nineteenth century, passing vineyards and know-how from one generation to the next. For much of the twentieth century it was Paul Pillot who shaped the estate, consolidating holdings and embedding a style that took its cues from the vineyards rather than from fashion. When his son Thierry joined in the early 2000s, he brought a renewed focus on precision, gently dialling back the influence of oak and sharpening the expression of each site. The domaine today represents a conversation between past and present, with Thierry’s finely tuned touch resting on a very solid family foundation.
