Maison Roche de Bellene, led by Nicolas Potel, brings together thoughtful sourcing and a strong emphasis on honest, terroir-driven winemaking. Potel’s minimal-intervention style prioritises transparency and allows each vineyard to express itself naturally.
The range is defined by brightness, purity and a supple sense of structure. The reds offer vibrant fruit and gentle spice, while the whites carry freshness and a subtle mineral thread. Roche de Bellene is a reliable address for expressive, well-judged Burgundy with a modern, accessible spirit.
Maison Roche de Bellene was founded in 2008, when Nicolas Potel decided to channel his extensive négociant experience into a new project of his own. Having parted ways with his earlier label, he set out to work with old vine fruit from growers he knew and trusted, many of whom shared his commitment to sustainable farming. From the beginning the focus was on careful selection and minimal intervention, letting the raw materials speak without too much adornment. In a relatively short time, the maison has built a reputation for transparent, terroir conscious Burgundy that still feels approachable and unforced.
