The 2024 Montagny 1er Cru offers green apple, gooseberry and light nettle notes on the nose. I would have just liked a little more vigour, though it is well defined. The palate is nicely balanced, with a slight oiliness on the entry. Slightly lower in acidity than other cuvées and, for me, this does not quite kick on towards the finish. Early drinking.
