The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Les Gruenchers 1er Cru is 100% whole bunches and matured entirely in new oak. The wood dominates the aromatics at the moment, rendering it a little generic compared to others. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, pliant tannins. There is sufficient fruit to soak up the new oak, and the finish is better assimilated than the nose. Therefore, give this 4 - 5 years in a bottle so that the constituent parts can meld together.
