(bottled in April): Dark red. Aromas of redcurrant, cherry, smoky minerals and milk chocolate are complicated by sexy earth tones. Dry, energetic wine with intriguing minerality adding interest to its flavors of cherry and dusty spices. Finishes with a firm spine of slightly dry-edged tannins and lingering spice and mineral notes. Already displays lovely grip and definition but this wine should deepen in the bottle.
