A rich, deep wine, the 2010 Asinone impresses for its depth and mid-palate generosity. At once rich, yet also light on its feet for such a big wine, the 2010 is all about inner perfume and seemingly endless layers of fruit. Despite its considerable richness, the Asinone has also a lot of near term appeal. I expect the 2010 will enjoy a long and broad drinking window.
