The 2024 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru has quite an understated bouquet, a mixture of red and black fruit, crushed stone and sous-bois, gaining some intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins. Modest depth, the partial whole bunch imparting a subtle pepperiness on the finish though overall it just misses the amplitude of the best wines from Marchand-Tawse this year.
