The 2022 Beaune Clos du Roi 1er Cru includes 10% whole bunches, although it feels like a little more on the nose, rather tertiary with clove and cracked black pepper. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and modest grip, quite fresh and sapid. My only quibble is that it lacks a bit of length compared to other cuvées.
