The 2024 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes comes from 60 to 65-year-old vines from three different sectors around the appellation. This has a fragrant nose with red plum and raspberry scents, just requiring a little more delineation to come through. The palate is medium-bodied with pliant tannin, certainly a level up from the preceding Beaune Teurons but it does escape out of the exit door hastily on the finish. Drink over the next five or six years.
