The 2022 Pommard Les Rugiens 1er Cru comes from vines planted in 1961. There's a mixture of red and black fruit on the nose here, touches of forest floor and truffle in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry and more sinew than the Pezerolles, though I find more grace and complexity via the Epenots and Clos Micault this year.
