Domaine Bournet-Lapostolle, Clos Apalta, Apalta 2015

The red formerly known as Lapostolle is now the 2015 Le Rouge, a Bordeaux blend from the younger vines in Apalta produced in a lighter and fresher style, despite the warm year. It's a juicy blend of 29% Carmenère, 27% Merlot, 22% Syrah, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon and 1% Petit Verdot. Two-thirds of the wine matured in oak for some 13 months, and the rest was kept unoaked. An improvement over the previous year. 88,716 bottles.
