The 2010 Barolo Cannubi is the “timid” wine of the bunch with subtle mint tones backed by flowers, licorice stick and a touch of distant cinnamon. It shows distinct mineral nuances from the silky, sandy soils that characterize the highest part of the single vineyard. It has southern exposures, but thanks to underground water supplies, older vines with deep root systems never suffer from heat stress. The 2010 Barolo Cannubi is a drop-dead gorgeous beauty. Freshly cut flowers, mint, spices, new leather and violets all waft from the glass in a refined, impeccable Barolo loaded with class. The 2010 is all about delicacy, finesse and elegance. Sweet, floral and impeccable in its balance, the 2010 is striking from start to finish. This is pure sensuality.
