Wine Critic Reviews
The 2008 Siran is just beginning to show signs of maturity on the rim. Predominantly red fruit on the nose, it offers wild strawberry, mulberry, a hint of leather and game. There is something appealingly gentle about the aromatics here. The palate is medium-bodied, quite sharp on the entry with a quite strong balsamic note that runs from start to finish. This is a bit rustic compared to recent vintages and I am not convinced that it merits long-term cellaring. Tasted at the vertical retrospective at Château Siran.

Soft, round and elegant with attractive black cherry, loamy soil and herb characteristics, this medium-bodied, lighter style of Bordeaux is meant to be drunk over the next 5-6 years.
