The 2010 Malartic-Lagravière has an intense bouquet with blackberry, blueberry, raspberry preserve and orange pith, quite airy in style and needing a little more terroir expression to show through. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, leaning more to the red fruit than black. This is marked by very fine tannins and a supremely well judged line of acidity that lends focus and precision on the finish. Superb. Tasted from an ex-château bottle at the BI Wines & Spirits 10-Year On tasting.

Deep garnet colored, the 2010 Malartic Lagraviere has a nose of prunes, dried figs and leather with nuances of cherry cough syrup, sassafras and camphor. Full-bodied, the mid-palate is a little dried out while the tannins are pretty darn chewy, finishing a tad hard.
