An exotic, flamboyant bouquet of orange marmalade, honeyed citrus, caramel, coconut, and pain grille soars from the glass of this well-bodied, potentially outstanding effort. In the mouth, it reveals an unctuous texture with tangy underlying acidity, medium to full body, and gobs of fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2020. (No tasting note was provided in Issue 128. Attractive nose combines exotic fruits, honey, roasted grain and marzipan. Intensely flavored and juicy; a strong citrus quality gives the wine a firm edge. Falls down a bit on the finish, which betrays a slight bitterness.
