Bizoe, Genant 2019

The 2019 Genant Shiraz Grenache Mourvèdre begins with a dark magenta core with purple highlights on the rim. Aromas of dark red and black fruit sway with a soft spiciness and hints of herbs. Light to medium-bodied and with 12.5% alcohol, the palate shows a balanced structure with fuzzy tannins, black cherry skin and dark plum before a growing element of red peppercorn builds on the gumline. Ending with a subtly spiced finish, the wine is cheerful and food friendly.
