Inky ruby. Heady aromas of candied red and dark berries, incense and licorice are complicated by notes of violet and five-spice powder. Silky, deeply flavored and focused, offering energetic black raspberry and floral pastille flavors and a zesty peppery nuance. Finishes smooth, spicy and very long, with resonating sweetness, a hint of licorice and subtle, slow-building tannins. This suave wine should enjoy a long, smooth evolution based on its concentration and balance.
