The 2016 Burkheim Feuerberg Spätburgunder Kesselberg has an intense bouquet of very ripe fruits intermixed with toast and nougat flavors. It is a powerful and concentrated wine with fine tannins, some prominent oak flavors and cloves in the finish, which I still find a bit drying, but there is a lot of juicy-ripe fruit too. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2018.
