The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges Les Saint-Georges 1er Cru was the only parcel touched by hail this season, losing 40% of the potential crop. It includes 40% whole bunches. It has quite a backward and sultry bouquet: blackberry and touches of licorice, a deft touch of wild mint. The medium-bodied palate has powdery tannins, impressive depth and grip with a lively, peppery finish. Give this 4-5 years in bottle.
