The 2022 Puligny Montrachet Village has quite a potent petrichor scent on the nose—wet pavement. The palate is well balanced and crisp, quite taut and fresh, with a lick of salinity on the restrained finish. It doesn't try anything over-ambitious and works because of that. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London.
