The 2024 Chassagne-Montrachet Clos Saint-Jean 1er Cru has a discrete nose at first, one that gains intensity, crushed stone and cool glade scents. Superb delineation. The palate is well balanced with a tangy opening, just a hint of tangerine and apricot, real weight and substance towards the finish. Perhaps it just needs a little more to come through on the aftertaste? Otherwise another superb Chassagne-Montrachet from Thierry Pillot.
