The 2024 Pommard les Epenots 1er Cru is habitually one of the stronger cuvées from the Domaine. This has a mixture of red and black fruit, undergrowth and mulch-like scents percolating through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins that lend this commendable tension. It gains more clarity towards the finish, far superior to the Clos Micault with a dab of cracked black pepper on the finish. Enjoy over the next 12 to 15 years. A lovely old school Pommard.
