The 2024 Bonnes-Mares Grand Cru has an open bouquet with expressive brambly red fruit, forest floor, just a hint of ceps and light pencil box scents. This is quite mercurial in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a seductive mixture of red and blueberry fruit that dovetails into a peppery finish from the one-third whole cluster. Very refined but there is a sense of power here that is uncommon this vintage.
