Chateau George 7, Fronsac 2025

As with many Fronsacs in the vintage, this is deep plum in colour, high intensity. Lovely gourmet kiss on the palate, they have done a great job here of taming the limestone bite, delivering another great vintage at this small estate, pumice stone and slate give the appellation DNA, austere at this early stage but plenty of balance with cocoa bean, damson fruits, baking spice, cumin, turmeric, liquorice root. Easy to recommend, and will be good value. 30% new oak for ageing, with 500l casks for fermentation. 20hl/ha yield.
